Despite the best lunch we just had around the corner, I couldnt resist getting a Steak and Mushroom Pie. I blame it on my partner who parked the car right near the bakery.
Glut or luck, my pie unfortunately turned out pretty average. The base wasnt crispy enough and the filling was just too salty. I only managed half of it before raising the white flag.
Actually the first thing that caught my eye from the window was their Apple Strudel, but I felt more like a savoury snack that day, thats why I went with the pie instead. Perhaps I shouldve stuck with my gut instinct.

I ordered a Shepard’s Pie and Apple Strudel from this bakery.
The pie was really nice, it had a nice meat gravy and potato top.
The Apple Strudel was very nice, I served it with ice-cream at home!
The service was exceptional, hence five-stars.
A gem you’ll find in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne: If you love the cookie (biscuit) with a lemon ice filling we know as the Yo-Yo, then this bakery is ground zero for the best Lemon Yo-Yos in Melbourne. I know people who are prepared to drive 30km for what they think is the best Nutella donut: these Yo-Yos should be in a similar category.
