Alpine Gate is what you would expect from a higher quality country cafe. The customer service is fantastic, the portions are generous and the value for money is outstanding. This is not a high brow cafe, but a great down to earth aussie cafe with all the classic menu options you would want. Big breakfast is awesome and the only classic version in Myrtleford. Their egg and bacon rolls are a frequent purchase amongst my friends and family.
Stopped here for a quick coffee and toast. They certainly know how to make a good latte. Very impressed. Service was friendly and efficient. A great place to stop on your way to Bright, Falls Creek or Hotham when you need that coffee fix. Will be back to try lunch menu.
Dropped in for lunch on our way to Mount Hotham. I ordered the frittata andit may have been the the most bland food I have consumed in my life.Service was friendly but I wouldn’t return.
