Up at Nagambie for a spot of kayaking, breakfast day one so we thought we would try this place out next to the IGA supermarket. No one else there when we arrived was a little disconcerting, but didn’t phase us. Modern interior with a wood fire oven for pizzas. Order at the counter, coffee came out quickly and it was hot and very nice. Meal came out in good time, well presented and cooked, very nice and a good size serving. One other couple arrived whilst we were there and a few takeaway coffee customers also. $19.30 for poached eggs, with 2 sides and a large coffee is reasonable in my view. As good as any other cafe I have been to.

I can highly recommend this place. Being a local who has long bemoaned the lack of decent eateries in Nagambie, Phillips & Co has been a very welcome breath of fresh air. I have had numerous delicious breakfasts and lunches and am looking forward to trying their new dinner menu. Coffee is great, staff are friendly and helpful and the style is modern, clean and relaxed. Well worth a try if you are in town looking for something a cut above average.
