Everything you would expect in a pub meal. Was not my choice of food destination. Had the steak. It was ok. Mate had the fish and chips. Again ok.

My family dined in the bistro on Saturday night. The waitress seated us at our table, but did not provide any menus to select a meal. The table was cramped and after i got some menus myself we selected meals from limited selection. The meals served were below average for the price with no service at all during our stay not even to clear the unfinished meals from the table. A vey disappointing experience which I would not recommend to anyon.
Overall a very disappointing experience.
Dining. 16/1/15 new chef who is introducing new & exciting dishes. We had scallops which was lovely & the service has improved since last visit over 6 months ago. Will certainly go back sooner.
Fountain gate hotel failure. Eleven for dinner and only two people enjoyed their meals. Slow service, bland menu with no real vegetarian options and very disappointed. $280 wasted, but at least we didn’t over eat!

Had my sons bday party in the function room at the fountain gate hotel. So disappointed! Staff were not professional at all. Food was average and had to constantly tell the staff to replenish the platters, jugs of soft drinks and milk so my guest could have a cup of tea that we had to pay extra per person for hot water and a tea bag. Service was slow. Spent a lot of money and was not satisfied. Wouldn’t have a function there at all!
So very disappointed. Food was terrible. Returned meals. Steak was in edible. Bad taste and smell. I observed other customers leave meals untouched as well.
