We have been to this place for years!! But somehow, each time we feel like Japanese, it slips our mind. Someone has to actually mention to us to go there.
The food is so fresh, the staff sweet and polite. I love their sashimi. The only aspect that doesnt suit us is that they dont open late. They close around the 9:30-10pm mark your normal suburban restaurant hours.
A traditional Japanese Restaurant. service is good but sometimes respond very slow. the food is delicious. sushi and sashimi are fresh and Akita roll include salmon, prawn and avocado. tempura very nice. the crab one is full of taste and traditional one that make you feel in Japan. A very nice restaurant.
Akita was a bit of a hidden gem; located just outside of the CBD, Akita served Japanese mains, sushi and sashimi. We tried a few entrees and the sushi/sashimi set menu, and were very pleased with the quality of the dishes. The salmon was fresh, agedashi tofu was silky, taiyaki dessert was light and refreshing. Ambiance and service were okay, non-peak hour dining is recommended, as it gets quite busy in there.
