Pizza or Cevapi? In our case, we always like the best of both worlds so we got both!

This unassuming bistro in North Melbourne by all appearances seems like an Italian restaurant, but serves cevapi and rakija! If youre in the mood for some good comfort Croatian food and havent had a fix since that time you were in Dubrovnik on a GOT tour, then definitely do yourself a favour and try this place out.

The bread is light and fluffy, the cevapi sausages are packed with flavour and the condiments just add to it. The pizza wasnt too bad but got a bit soggy with the weight of the toppings. 3.5

This is what you call a true hidden gem. Melbourne has a lot of them, but how many of these gems have a genuine Balkan influence? Maybe just 1-2 others, truth be told.

Bela has a very homely feel to it. With an oven direct from Napoli where the pizzas and breads are spawned, you are unlikely to find a better Taschetta in Australia. This is a must eat dish in Melbourne.

Youd have to fly all the way over to Zadar in Croatia or Sarajevo in Bosnia to get evapi in a bread pocket as good as this. Ten of these gorgeous little skinless Balkan sausages them find themselves encased in what can only be described as glorious bread. The onion and cheese that accompany it is both authentic and genuine. The evapi are fresh and perfectly cooked (just a hint of pink in the middle). Its unpretentious and simple. Colleagues of Your Dear Luncher have been visiting this place for years. Now, The Dear Luncher finally understands why it is one of their favourite places to eat in Melbourne. The pizzas are magnificent, they are to be sampled ASAP.

A good assortment of Balkan beers available, Oujsko is The Dear Lunchers favourite. The kind of beer you can really drink all day.

    Adijo Bela, vidimo se uskoro!
