I went in for a couple of pints prior to going to the market to do my shopping.The young lad behind the bar(looks like owners son)got very argumentative as we were discussing the $30 bet he had made on the test being a draw and so I mentioned how I picked up $15000 on backing Donald Trump to win the 16 election as it is one of the best bets I have ever made! Well did this kid get upset. Called me scum among other things and became very aggressive trying to force his climate change catastrophe theories on me among other things. He began shaking in blind rage! All I did was place a bet on a politician!I didn’t care because I made my money with pubs and am very confident even for 50 years of age and so wasn’t intimidated in any way.I don’t think he is the full quid and definitely should not be standing behind a bar in Melbourne. Lucky the chap working with him calmed him down for the boys sake! How embarrassing!I have been drinking in this pub on and off for longer than this little brat has been alive. I will never drink in this hotel again as the place is unhinged and there is nothing special here no matter how good the lighting makes their photos look and no one is raving about the food!There are 2 better pubs in walking distance.Dad I would get him out of there asap before he gets a glass smashed in his face.There are a lot of fake reviews on here about this place by all his little millennial friends!

There’s a pool room, good food and tonight pub trivia.The very are nice, my first one a Mountain Goat Summer Ale and my second beer a Monthieths Dark Ale. Good to see that this place is a craft beer pub. Still alright and handy when your shopping till you drop lol.
Popped in here for a drink but can see why there were plenty of people in there!! The pub meals coming out looked like really solid pub grub and the prices, considering it’s Melbourne, were excellent. Like the fact that they’re located across from the Queen Victoria Markets and make a point about using the produce from there.
