Small shop, great food and great value for money. Have been back at least once a week over the past few months – which says alot! Try the mapo tofu or kung pao chicken on a bed of fried rice.
Great reviews on most delivery sites as well (Ubereats, eatnow, menulog etc). This place needs better review on this site!
Small joint but best local Asian food in the suburb . I dont know why the rating is so low but I have tried all the Asian place in north melbourne this one is the best .
One of the best chinese restaurants in the area, and only place in north Melb that does proper Sichuan flavor. Small joint, not fancy but really authentic, also very cheap! My new favorite place.
Great food and really friendly service. Relatively newly opened I think.
The dumplings are really nice. Probably the best choice to go with.
Surprised to find good spicy fish in chilli oil in north Melbourne, I also reccomend their Sichuan stir fried beef in chilli. Great place and also Cindy is very friendly!
One of North Melbourne’s hidden little gem, this restaurant has been a great go-to takeaway Chinese food.
Authentic food, friendly staff, and affordable. Would recommend locals to give this place a try. Being able to speak Chinese would definitely help with the ordering but luckily there are pictures of the menu in the shop.
This little joint is amazing. I’ve been 3 or 4 times now for takeaway. No one speaks English, except the chef, who knows a little. But that (and the business visa aside), the welcome is like nothing you would expect. What appears to be, but I couldn’t understand, a family-run business knocks out great Chinese cuisine in an immaculate outlet with an open kitchen.
You’ll need to do lots of pointing at the menu (unless you speak the lingo), but the big smiles, service and gratitude are well worth the effort.
I wish them well.
EDIT: As of Sept ’17 Cindy’s appears to have changed hands and I’m not too impressed.
