My second time here at Hallah. First time I was here was to try their famous for their fried chicken. Second time around I also tried the Korean bbq while catching up with friends. Fried chicken is still delicious. Only wish that I could have 2 half flavoured instead of half original and half flavoured. For the bbq, they use charcoal on top of a gas flame. Im guessing this is to keep the fire consistent but lacks the beautiful charcoal aroma.
We had pork bulgogi and marinated beef thick skirt. Both were fresh and delicious. Eat it the only way it should, wrapped in lettuce with green chilies sauces and kimchi. Yum!!!
Love this place. I have ad Korean bbq before but this was quite a different experience. I found new way of enjoying the food. I just lost the photos though so sorry for not sharing. But this I give good review for – service, food and location. Must try if you have not been here.

This is a good Korean Restaurant! Is a little expensive! But for share is a perfect place! They have good variety, the food is very tasty , the atmosphere is good and the staff is very friendly!
We were impressed with Hallah of their attentive and friendly service, their delicious food and great ambiance.
I cant express how much I enjoyed their soft tofu with seafood. Had my first spoonful and I couldnt stop myself from continuously having more. The japchae was soft, a bit chewy, flavourful and the beef was tender.
We loved the attentive service as they regularly topped up our sides without us asking. Overall really good experience and would recommend this Korean restaurant.
Amongst the crowd and bustle of other Korean restaurants near Queen Vic market, Hallah is not a bad choice. However, Wooga (cheap) and Yeonga (quality) are much better picks in the area.
Ordered:
B Set (Hallah marinated BBQ set for 2 people): $58.00
Kimchi Pancake, Kimchi Soup,
Beef Bulgogi: Thin sliced beef marinade in sweet soy sauce
Mild Chicken Thigh Fillet: Soft and delicious chicken tight fillet marinade in spices and sauces
Pork Rib (marinated): spare ribs in a special sauce marinade
+ corn cheese
Review:
There was a tonne of food – although we ordered just enough rice for the both of us, there was an abundance of meat that couldn’t be finished.
There wasn’t anything about the meat that stood out, nor did the banchan.
Pickled beansprouts is always delicious and the kimchi was displayed interestingly – strewn across a plate. The pasta could do with a bit more cream (similar to White Tomato’s excellent interpretation) and the sauces were faultless – some of the classic basic salt pepper sesame oil and ssamjang sauce.
The meat was decent but the sauce kind of lost any flavour once it was bbq’ed on high heat.
Service was decent, but not as great as Mansae. Remember to bring cash because they do offer a small discount for cash payments!
