  I dont usually write reviews, I only write them when its really good or really bad. Lanna Thai has been hands down the worst resto I have been to my whole life. The experience was utterly disappointing. Food was unfresh, expensive and tasteless. It is a total disrespect to customers when they prepare such bad quality food with high prices for their customers. I wonder how their business is still going on after all these years.
  So we ordered the charcoal grill bbq chicken ($17), a thai beef fried rice ($16) and a plain white rice ($3) as seen in the photo. The chicken was suppose to be a main dish, when the food arrived, we were in shock with how small the portion of food is, less than what is in a starter or side dishes of normal restaurant. We cant even mix half of the bowl of rice with that five small pieces of chicken. So we have to basically finish the whole bowl of plain rice without anything as we dont dare to order anything else after trying the two dishes we ordered. The chicken was dry, burnt and tasteless. It is definitely not charcoal grill as there is none of the smokey taste but a pan-grilled chicken without any taste of seasoning. They also have this plate of sweet and sour sauce in the middle for us to dip the tasteless chicken. The sauce was so very sweet and it does not goes well with the chicken. There are also some unfresh salad on the side to fill up the small empty looking plate of chicken. I wonder why am I eating there when I can easily cook a much better pan-grilled chicken at home with less than one-fifth of the price.
  Moving on to the beef fried rice. The rice was unfresh, clumped up and soggy. The dish was overall very oily and taste very bland. There is not much in the rice but just a few pieces of beef….
  Overall, the restaurant tastes awful, unfresh, expensive with bad services. The place looks dirty as well. Wont go back. The thai resto Mum Mum next door is much much better if you are looking for some decent thai food with reasonable prices. Good luck!

  Dont go to this place! me and my partner decided to give this resto a try, because mum mum thai restaurant next door is closed today. Worst decision in my life!! This place is overpriced for its portion. 17 dollars for 5 pieces of chicken (left dish in the photo) SERIOUS?? Thanks, 17 dollars for 5 pieces. Other than that, the chicken was burnt and very bland. The meat tastes very dry and unfresh… We also ordered fried rice with beef ($16). Super oily and yet very bland as well, portion is smaller than average. To add on, the guy owner keeps checking us on while we were still eating and when we just finished, he quickly walked to the cashier to collect our money. He lets his staff do all the work and he is just there to collect money. We feel pressurised when we were eating as he keeps checking on us if we were done yet. Compared to mum mum, where a fried rice is 13 dollars with a very large portion, fresh ingredients, better service, better environment and no one is watching you as you eat. This place is just overpriced with unfreshed low quality food and very stingy portion. If you ever decide to get thai food, definitely go to mum mum instead.

  Nice little place. Came to get some take away and was promptly served for my dinner tonight. Chicken Phad Thai was devine. Outstanding tasting Thai food. Will be back!
