I love Queen Victoria markets, just bloody awesome and way better than what Ive experienced in New Zealand. The range of different taste and textures available is just amazing. In terms of Merlo the long blacks here are just class, some of the best coffee Ive had in Melbourne.
I would probably give their special a miss which was espresso shots with ginger beer. Too bubbly and the bitter taste didn’t go down as smoothly as one would imagine

Merlo is a coffee roaster which produce a variety of beans itself. The roasting machine in the shop is amazing, showing me the roster process. It is a place always surrounded by wonderful coffee smells.
Flat white is always good, with a extremely strong flavor. However, its quality is not very stable. I have bought flat white for several times with bad memory once.
The coffee beans here is good for milk coffee. I have tried several beans, none of which is suitable for pouring over.
