Experience is good, this is a very homey place for me. The Calderata goat was good and has a flavour different from the ordinary. But its was a slightly salty for my taste, in saying that its how Filipinos love it. Its a huge place and has a potential. I would recommend a review of a more modern menus and more Filipino with no western food.

I wanted this place to be good but unfortunately, the food was not up to scratch. First, I do like the setting. It’s spacious and nice inside and it’s in this very cute heritage complex that has beautiful lights in the evening. The service is super friendly. They had a special on a Saturday evening whereby you could get a main (there are a number of choices) with rice and iced tea (which tasted like it was homemade and was delish) for only $10. We ordered the chicken curry from that special menu and though the sauce was nice, there wasn’t a lot of chicken in the end because half of it was bone. The pork sisig was the other dish we ordered but the pork was mainly fat. If it wasn’t fat, it was too burnt. The last dish we ordered was the duck but it was finished so the lady suggested kaldereta beef which was a stew. She said she would give us free rice which was confusing because the first lady who served us told us the dishes we ordered came with rice and then even more confusing we ended up being charged for the rice. To be fair, the beef stew was the best dish out of the lot but there was also a lot of fat in that dish. Unfortunately, it’ll be hard to justify coming back here. I have been to the Philippines and I’ve enjoyed the food there a lot so it was a disappointing experience tonight.
