Order the combo for two, kimchi seafood pancake, and pork neck. Meat is tender and taste good enough. Staff is friendly and attentive. I like how they keep changing the net for you when its burned.

Best Korean BBQ in Melbourne. Best to go with a few people to experience their range of meats and don’t be afraid to ask for more side dishes and sauces. Recommend the kimchi stew in addition to the bbq. You will leave smelling like BBQ but thats half the fun when you are cooking over actual coals. They do tend not to answer their phone when trying to make a booking so keep trying or turn up and see what happens.

My last experience was not good at all. I ordered a package for two (combo A) which worth $44.50 .. theres nothing inside the soup, thats mostly tofu and onion. And the bbq just average also staff was not friendly too. I wont be back.

We really enjoy this place, every time we go! We usually go for the combo A, which easily feeds 2 people to the brim. We also tried the Combo B, shared between 3, which again was way more than enough! The highlights are the brisket, and their delicious kimchi and onions. For some reason they werent flexible when we asked to swap the omelette (which has seafood in) with another entree which had the same price on the regular menu, but other than that, their service is generally nice.

Victoria street is where you can find some of the hottest KBBQ restaurants. As a group of my friends and I wanted to grub on some food whilst catching up, KBBQ at Wooga seemed like the perfect place to do just the thing!

Wooga has all the staple kbbq meats and dishes, but as a group of 5, we were more interested in their combo shared meals. Combo D on their menu was just the right amount for the 5 of us. With seafood pancake as an entree, soy marinated pork, soup, and a selection of bbq meats, this was certainly a feast!

Whilst everything was of above standard for quality and taste, the highlight for me was the Bulgogi Hotpot with sliced beef in sweet soy soup. Couldnt have asked for a more comforting soup on a cold wintery night, and you can rest assured that there is enough soup for everyone to have seconds and thirds and even more.

The service was alright, although we could definitely feel the hectic energy within the busy restaurant. This definitely contributed to a lot of confusion and disorganisation as the staff confused our orders a few times.

Victoria Street is littered with Korean BBQ restaurants and we just decided to rock up and pick one from the bunch. Wooga looked busy so we chose that. I’ve been here 2 or 3 times before but I can’t recall my experiences, it was all a haze. Now that I’m in full analysis mode let me tell you what I think.

Firstly it is cooked using charcoal. Bonus. They retained the previous table’s drippings from the meats which was kind of disgusting to look at and it was hissing away when the heat was bumped up. Thinking back I think a lot of the smell that was imparted onto my clothes and skin was from the meat vapor.

We get combo A with an additional premium beef cube roll, seems like quality beef is a must these days when you’re having KBBQ. The banchan comes out and it is plentiful, that’ll save us from waving down a waiter/waitress for more later. Kimchi was nice and on the sweeter side. The other notable one was the pickled onions, that helped cut down the grease from the fattier pieces.

Our first cut of meat was the premium beef cube roll which was cooked nicely and maintained a lot of its juices. It was quite lean with little marbling, went well with the sesame and salt dip. We mostly did the cooking ourselves and this was an ongoing trend throughout the night. Although we got the impression that they were going to help us out, we did 90% of it, if we had waited we would have butchered the meats.

The pork neck was lean and kind of tasted like my mum’s pork chops (for com tam), a bit on the dry side however. The marinated premium beef brisket was very fatty and flavoursome, not much else needed other than maybe some salt and sesame. The marinated flank skirt beef was tough and chewy, we disliked this the most. None of the meat plates came with any vegetables for grilling or wrapping.

To the side was their soybean hotpot. Was very basic with mostly chopped zucchini, potatoes, onions and tofu. Meat was minimal. Uninspiring.

We also popped a couple of soju bottles, the peach flavoured one was okay so we switched back to the classic.

Poor table service (maybe not enough staff) and the meats were hit and miss. I also think the drippings tray needs to be changed as new customer arrives, not doing so is just lazy. From a previous experience never eat upstairs on a hot day, the ventilation is horrible. It was a cheap feed however.

The food is excellent. The place is a bit packed usually and not much in the atmosphere, its mainly the food u go for. But it is certainly a very good korean barbecue.
