Friendly staff, great coffee, great music and incredible food. I love this place! Nice to see healthier options in a cafe setting and very interesting menu.
Food and coffee were pretty good – got the smashed avo on toast and my sister got the granola. Staff were very friendly but the service was fairly slow. Cool area out the back to relax in.
As a student living local I constantly return to this cafe
They deliver food that goes beyond standard cafe menus and at an amazing price

Stopped by to have a Latte with dad. Lovely staff, good chilled out space at the back, coffee was nice. Didn’t try anything to eat but will be back next time. Thanks and all the best guys:)
The place doesn’t have a real kitchen so food takes forever
Went in for takeaway and staff didn’t say that it would be a 30min wait for reheating one item and frying an egg for an egg and bacon roll.
Ridiculous!
Very disappointed on this return visit. Asked how long the baked eggs would take and got a response all about how they cook in the order orders are received, and there were lots of orders already. Nothing I had asked about and I would expect them to do so. And more importantly no information that actually told me how long it would take to cook or even given their response how long before they might get to make it. Didn’t feel welcoming or helpful.
I have been to Kau three times only, but each visit has never disappointed me. The staff is always smiley and accommodating, the coffee is good and the food is great. I will definitely keep going back.
