This is a lovely Cafe with a nice atmosphere. Sitting here I feel like this Cafe has been part of Northcote’s Cafe scene for years and wondered why I hadn’t tried it before.

The coffee was decent, hitting some of the stronger notes I like.

Food wise. I really enjoyed it. The shakshuka was delicious, spicy but not excessively so. Served with a perfectly toasted bread.

Looking over at my brother’s eggs royal, here listed as eggs benedict with salmon, I wondered if I’d ordered the wrong meal and should have gone for the same. He dug into it with gusto and assured me it was as good as it looked.

The staff were attentive and happy which made our meal even more enjoyable.

Found this place today by happy accident! Perfect little place with a good vibe for a relaxed breakfast, good coffee and reading the paper. Staff were friendly and professional, coffee was delicious and the eggs Benedict was perfect. The only criticism would be of the hollandaise… while delicious and well made, its VERY rich, and there was a bit too much on the dish. It overpowered the salmon just a tad. But! Still perfectly cooked and well presented. Overall very impressed with this new addition to Westgarth, and we will happily return and recommend. Good job guys 🙂

A nice space – unfortunately, thats where it ends.
It never fails to confound me why cafe owners dont either employ the right staff or train staff to a hospitality standard.
The staff on today were much more interested in socialising with each other than paying attention to the jobs they are paid to do.
Ordered the Mediterranean omelette which was VERY over cooked and dry.
Coffee was just on the right side of burnt.
I was given an obviously dirty napkin which also didnt help.
The staff continued to chat amongst themselves – I was never asked if I wanted another coffee.

The hospitality market is way to competitive for this poor service.
Save your $$ and go elsewhere
