Classic and laid back bar great for a wine or dinner. Inside dull lighting makes it a cute date spot too. Bar staff are friendly and food is tasty. Also has an outside area so covers all basis. Wesley Anne is one Id recommend for anyone coming to High Street.

Once upon a time about 16 years ago I used to call Northcote home. Now I hardly recognise this strip of bars and cafes. Wesley Anne was a church in a former life and has a mood and mix of crowd that brought me way back. Dimly lite and quirky decorations and acoustic music all added to the appeal and I felt instantly relaxed. Drinks wise a good selection of beers mostly crafty little numbers and although they werent able to make KDs Southside (her drink of choice atm) the bar staff were very willing to give her recommendations. She ended up with an armeretto sour which was all marzipan and tasty. Food looked great here based purely on the special board. Sticky and slow cooked springs to mind along with pub favourites.

Pretty cool little place on the main fare in northcote good selection of beer and a nice outdoor area out the back the food was also pretty good and well priced would definitely go back there again.

This venue has a wonderful vibe and the free music in the bar of a weekend evening is excellent. Of all the Northcote pubs this is the most female friendly. They serve good food and have a cosy slow combustion fire in winter which makes the Wesley Anne the perfect place for a date with mates or someone special ..

Came here last week for my work Christmas party. The pasta I had was amazing! The ragu meat melted apart and the portion was very generous (and rightly so seeing it was $25). Drinks reasonable prices too. Only downside was it was very loud and hard to hear my colleagues in the beer garden.

Have done this a few times now. Great place for a drink and above average pub food. The entree prawns a real winner and a must try. Beef cheek also great on a cold night. Beer garden at the back grungingly good. Friendly staff who appeared switched on. Good selection of beer and wine.

    Yep, definitely coming here again.
Food was great we had the ricotta gnocchi with chorizo and prawn And off the specials board the lamb shank with veggies and mash. The star was definitely the gnocchi the flavour had a lot of punch. The venue of pretty cool too and the candle light makes it ‘oh so romantic’. The wait staff just need a bit of training around customer service, I don’t think I heard any of them say a word (just collected our plates).
