Located in the greens of Mount Dandenong this hotel- pub- restaurant offers a good option for Australian meal. Ambience is good , a well maintained establishment with decent deating in the indoors , limited outdoors. 3/5
The bar offers a range of spirits, wines and limited beer options. Cocktails is the handicap. 3/5
Meals options are good with variety in lamb, beef, chicken , sea food, entrees and mains, limited options in veg. We tried garlic bread, chicken parma, fish and chips, risotto and salad. Food was good value for money, good servings. 4/5

The service was outstanding, they served with a smile! The food was amazing, they cookes it to perfection! Amazing Steak! Although I wanted ribs!
Service was spot on!! There was a bit of a wait with dessert and they gave us a double serving and free hot chocolates to make up for it – very impressed! The food was also delicious and the vibe very cosy on a winter’s day. Definitely great value. Hanging out next to the fire was also a treat.
Went for lunch today. Ordered scotch fillet, medium with peppercorn I the side. First my steak came out ver well done then the sauce was on the steak so I couldn’t identify it and it was porterhouse because my husbands was that. Bad table service we got garlic bread on the one plate so I was looking around myself trying to find bread plates. Got the waitresses attention and told her about my food being all wrong. She said sorry about that and that was it. I was hungry dominate the stupid steak but they didn’t even offer a cup of coffee for their mistake. They have a sign out the front. New chef. Pfft please!!! Won’t be going there again and won’t recommend it to anyone I know. We used to love the food there. Also it needs a good clean. Fire place was the only good thing about it. Thumbs down
We had lunch on a Sunday, risotto and burger was amazing!! We will be visiting again, decore a little dated but the staff were really helpfull and nice.
Very dissatisfied with the size and quality of the meal. Went there for Valentines Day, the chips over salted, the steak sandwich delicious, however half the size of anywhere else! The Brushetta was flavourless!
Interesting mix of reviews here. Maybe it depends on which chef is working. I ate the most superb Barramundi on mash with lemon sauce while my wife loved every bit of the roast. Good food, good service, good price…..no complaints here.
