What a great spot, only open for 2 days of the week. You know it’s going to be good! Really enjoyed the hummus plate that I got. Perfectly ground and creamy, seasoned well. A nice lunch for the sunny day.
Came with B, J and L and really enjoyed the food. An authentic experience in a venue you would never have known existed. Definitely a hidden gem in Ormond. Once you find it, you will go every week!
Amazing!! I had never had Jachnun before but was told it was the best food in the world. No jokes, it was pretty damn good!! The doughy texture mixed with the chili and tomato is out of this world! Definitely an experience everyone should enjoy!
The only place in Melbourne for real Jachnun. They do it perfectly and the vibes in the yard is friendly and relaxed. My go to Saturday spot!
Passed by The Black Yard with the family on a warm winter Saturday morning for some Jachnun. Slow-cooked overnight, this comforting Yemenite pastry is a Saturday morning tradition in Jewish homes, eaten with crushed tomatoes, spicy zhug and egg.
