My family and I have been going to Burgur ever since they opened in Pakenham. We have tried many items on their menu. While they do have a core menu, they have many limited edition type of burgers/fries. On the one hand, it’s good when you get to try different things and you don’t get bored; but on the other hand, if you find the one burger combo you really like, it may not stick around for that long.
Our most recent order was the Big Boss burger meal combo and a chocolate shake. First of all, the chocolate shake was an overpriced disappointment – it just tasted like Cottee’s chocolate topping with milk, (they didn’t even put ice cream in) not worth the $6 or $7 they charged. The burger was fantastic. It’s hard to find a burger with crispy and fatty streaky bacon nowadays – but there it is in the Big Boss burger. I don’t normally like chicken patty/schnitzel in burgers because they tend to be tough and rubbery – but in this Big Boss burger, the chicken part was my favourite, very tender. In the past we have ordered kid’s meal before, a bit meh. I had their pulled pork fries before, pretty good.
In general, Burgur is a bit pricey, but I pretty much always share a burger value meal with my husband, and the amount is just right. If you live nearby, definitely order instore for takeaway, because most likely you can’t finish all the food in one go. And you will get messy as hell.
