I live nearby, and there’re lazy nights we thought ‘whatever, just get some fish and chips around the corner and be done with it’ Then after we got fish and chips from this place, light bulb moment – ‘ahh, now I remember why I don’t buy from them very often…’
We’ve bought from them on and off ever since they opened a few years ago. Their menu is very similar to Ocean King Fish and Chippery at Heritage Springs, so maybe they have the same owner. Cardinia Lakes F&C however is definitely more inferior.
Their fish is always a bit soggy. Chips are never crunchy enough and we have to put them in the grill to crunch up further. Potato cakes aren’t good at all. When you order on the phone, you ask them to do chips and potato cakes ‘extra crunchy’ or ‘well done’. They always say OK but nothing come out crunchy, ever. I give up.

Secondly we ordered a bacon and cheese burger and when I got home I realised it was a bacon and egg burger no cheese. Also must say the flake was extremely gluey to chew and had was tasteless, the potato cakes were meh. Wouldn’t recommend or go back
