Not the best. Flake is always dry. You barely get any chips and the potato cakes are thin and oily. It’s also not the cheapest. This place is within walking distance to my house but I’d rather drive 10 mins to a different fish n chip shop where you get what you pay for.

Have picked up their game since I used to go here years ago, the flake is quite good, crunchy batter not too thick with thick moist fish. The chips vary from good – excellent. When they are excellent they are divine. With lots of salt I could eat them all day. But, the last hamburger I bought used low quality meat (lots of hard bits etc), and the fish burger I bought had large sections of roll with no fish, My first mouthful was just bread and tartar sauce. Not impressed. The service is okay, attentive but no joy. Stick with the fish and chips.

Love the barramundi, very reasonably priced and you get a decent size too. But they don’t always make it crunchy enough, very often by the time you drive home and unwrap the pack (within 5 minutes of receiving the pack from the staff), both fish and chips turn a bit soft. That’s because the batter is not thick enough. We often have to say ‘make it extra crunchy’ when we order, but sometimes it’s still not quite crunchy enough. We often have to put the chips in the grill for another 5 – 10 minutes.

The calamari rings – they give you a mix of normal calamari rings and fried squid caps? Why? The caps are so chewy you can’t actually eat/digest them, but great if you’re looking for a jawceps workout session.
