All I can say is wow! To be honest when I first saw the menu I was a bit underwhelmed, being use to extravagant brunches for so long I admit to have grown accustom to the new and forgotten about how good honest simple cooking can be.
The smash avocado with feta and chilli was outstanding , paired with perfectly cooked bacon , I really couldnt have asked for more ! The Soba noodle salad with eggplant was another dish that blew me away, we added poached chicken with this and it has easily become one of my favourite dishes this year ! My friend who hates eggplant also loved it and grabbed a whole chunk of eggplant onto her plate after I forced her to try it
The pies although not home made are cooked to order and we loved the pastry and delicious filling – we ordered the cauliflower and leek ( 10/10 vegetarian dish)
Lastly we ordered a bowl of fries , the balsamic aoili was so unique , very creamy and tasted like normal aioli until you smell it and the whift of balsamic just hits you ! We loved these bowl of fries , if you come here defs order them !
To sum up our experience , we thoroughly enjoyed everything , from the friendly hospitality, the delicious fresh food and the entire experience at Robert Gordon including the immersive paint your own pot experience you can do after or before your meal
