Such a great location and view out onto the bay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, the decor is beachy and warm. Extensive all day breakfast and lunch menu, service was quick and the food was delicious.
Outdoor seating available – this place is always busy.

Nice view but small and pokey inside, barely room to fit at the table. And the food was so expensive. Coffee very average. I got in trouble for walking through the back door too.. didnt see the sign. So many negative signs in such a tiny area dont walk in this entrance wait to be seated no splitting bills

Honestly one of my favourite cafes ever. Its basically right on the beach with views of the ocean. With option to eat outside or to sit on their sun chairs and have a coffee. Its just a really peaceful place to be.
Food is amazing. Simple clean brunch food with a large variety of options. Nothing too fancy but its just honest food. Always a treat to eat there.

The cafe is in a great position at the beach, so a nice walk above the sea afterwards available. The coffee is fine. The dish I had today, was supposedly Peking duck, I nearly wrote Vietnamese salad as there is so little an amount of duck. The salad did not seem fresh and the duck didnt either, it was rather hard plus sparse. The place is actually too noisy, especially if you really wanted an easy conversation. The waitresses were good. I think a better chef/ cook is needed with an emphasis on fresh food and more meat or chicken/ duck in a meal with that. Its the location which is great.

Unfortunately not a positive experience. Wanted a iced coffee to cool down, they only made iced coffee with condensed milk. So decided on a iced chocolate. Very average tasted like a glass of milk with powered chocolate, not refreshing and Not what Id expect for the price paid at a cafe. Especially after they couldnt even put some coffee into a glass of milk. My friend ordered the Soy Chai Tea it came out lukewarm and it tasted odd not sure if the Soy was off . The service was lukewarm as well will not be returning or recommending this place.

  • Its All About The Food

One of the few cafes in Melbourne that is truly on the beach, so that’s a big positive. I lived near here for over 2 years and had a variety of experiences.
The coffee is always good. Generally, the staff are good, although sometimes service can be a little slow even on a quieter day.
The food is good, not great. It’s definitelynot bad but gastronomically Parkdale has better options, but not better views. If you are going for coffee and snack and a view it can’t be beaten. If you are going for a seriously good meal, maybe venture a little further.

1 Star. I dont usually leave reviews but I feel compelled to because the service here is SO bad. Every time I come I swear I wont be back but its such a great location on the beach that I always give it another chance. Appalling customer service, customers milling around the till waiting to be seated or pay and being completely ignored. We were told to sit wherever we liked and given menus. We waited patiently to be served at our table and eventually went to the counter to ask if we can order a drink because we knew they closed soon. Told to return to our tables and someone would come. Table was dirty. Eventually I spot a waitress who ignored me so I follow her and asked if we could order. Was told rudely can ya just give me a second, followed abruptly by we close in 15 minutes so you have to finish your drink and pay and leave by then. Can you finish your drink in the next 15 minutes? To which I replied yes I think so. Then asked my table number, I gestured to the section out the back and was told they arent licensed to serve alcohol there so if you want alcohol you need to move. Why did they not tell us that when we arrived? I packed up my pram and moved everything over. Again was told we had to be out by 4 – why even seat us if you dont want to serve us? Finally had my order taken – What do you want to drink, babe Another couple next to me were treated the same and said they should have just left. Eventually the wine arrives and the waitress says Sorry about before, babe. We were turfed out at 4 as promised. I cant believe that wait staff would speak to customers like that. I have had similar experiences before with the rest of the staff. Will not be returning! Ps dont call women babe
