The Mordialloc Cellar Door was full to the brim so we decided to give Perry Como a go.
Bad move.
Inattentive staff, uncleared tables, red wine tasted stale. Was about to order food, but luckily some some food came past so we quickly changed our mind. It looked very overcooked and dry.
Terrible – coffee and cake and half way through we realized cakes were mouldy. Made worse by the fact bumbling manager seemed to be admitting they were over a week old. Refunded but never going there again. Incompetent and reckless.
Beautiful outdoor seating, especially on a gorgeous afternoon, lovely and accommodating staff and delicious food. We had a dogs with us which was no trouble, we sat amongst a lovely garden and our dogs even got a treat!
First time at Perry Como. Sat outside in the beer garden on a glorious day. Ordered the caramelised onion and goats cheese tart which came on a bed of salad. Delicious and dressing was very tasty. Service was great and a lovely waitress. Definitely go back and try the breakfast and dinner menu. Hope this place really takes off for Parkdale.
Have been there twice in recent weeks, both times to see great music. Their Charcuterie Board was excellent, firstly as a meal for me, next time a great share plate for 2 (with the warm olives to round it out!) Interesting range of beers & wines & the service was tops !!! And great to see a local business in the burbs supporting local bands !!! I’ll be there again tomorrow night to see Annabelle Eve & Creature Comfort, who are a terrific local band….get out & support local venues & bands I reckon !!!
We thought we’d go to Ficelle’s for dinner only to find it has changed hands. We ordered fish goujons, wedges and 2 glasses of merlot. There were 5 nugget sized pieces of chicken on some roqette leaves with a smear of tartare, a decent serve of wedges with 2 dips plus the wine. This cost us $40! Not good value, we were still hungry and won’t be back.
Two words…don’t bother!
We went there for breakfast, and we had to leave half our meals as they were just over-cooked slop. The coffee is awful, staff unfriendly, and the decor is unimaginative. We loved its predecessor Ficelle…however
this place is simply not worth your dollars. We asked to speak to the manager…we got a sarcastic shrug of the shoulders in response.
