Attentive staff however our mains (steak) whilst they tasted amazing but arrived cold and the chips were like hard potato slabs. Being a Saturday night it did take quite some time for drinks to arrive when ordered which is totally understandable for a Saturday. The dessert (blondies) were absolutely smashing. I think they place would be better food wise if you didnt go
On a Saturday and went mid week. Got heaps of potential and despite a few hiccups for our first visit will return to this little local find in future.
Really nice space, great seating options and views of the sea from almost anywhere in the venue. We were there on a sunny winter day and it wasnt overly busy mid afternoon. Very good service. Had a few drinks and some chips. Not sure if we would be back to eat the menu didnt grab us. Chips were hot with nice seasoning and the dip was good too. If they open a sun deck in the summer on the front we might be back. Good choice of drinks, nice to see theyre supporting local businesses like Daylesford mineral water.
Hit and Miss experience.
Food: Entree of fried chicken was very moorish. Chicken moist and tender.
Main was the pumpkin and walnut pesto spelt fettuccine. The dish was tasty and and I enjoyed it. The biggest fail
of the night was the creme caramel dessert. It was like they had gone to the nearby Woolies and bought a supermarket creme caramel and plonked it on the plate. Basic presentation and bland caramel taste. My husband had the fish and chips which was standard pub food.
Ambience: Loud, generic pop music was playing. Annoying and as its a noisy restaurant it added nothing to the ambience. Fit out is already looking tired. Cheap lattice on walls with posters advertising events etc. Tables are chipped in places. Space is too big.
Service: Disorganised but friendly. Overall average and room for improvement.
