Hmmm,
This is the third Mexican Eatery that has popped up in a 5km radius in the past six months.
This one is a food court style situated in the Sanctuary Lakes shopping centre which has had a few additions of food places to a make shift mini food court in the middle of the centre.
I like Mexican, and I want to see this place do well. It is certainly affordable.
So ordered a chicken burrito, which is made up of your chosen condiments so you get the burrito style you like.
The actually burrito was nice enough, but the chicken a little dry, which could have been fixed by an extra covering of spicy sauce which I did not feel any spice at all. The burrito itself was small but wen wrapped and sealed and soft enough to eat. You would need an additional side or maybe two to have a full size meal.
They had some chips sitting in the display bay-marie which I wasn’t sure if they were for sale or display but they looked pretty rusty and old so I stayed away. On looking at the menu on menu log as I ate I did see Cheese Fries, which I was disappointed I didn’t order, so next time I will give them a whirl.
I of-setted my burrito with some pre cooked Beef Empanadas which are like little curry puffs. Despite being in the bay-maria they microwaved them which I felt zapped some taste out of them, leaving the pastry a bit saggy.
Cost: Fairly reasonable – a average meal would come in under $18-20 with drink.
For the sake of bringing more Mexican to the area, I will give a positive rating and try out again.
Mexican Jarittos (soda) drinks available.
