Really impressed with the Brook. This local place was once a dive which was not inviting at all. It seems new management have taken over and really lifted this place to one of the top in the area. We initially attended the function space for a funeral wake and were very pleased. The familys wishes and style were executed in a very tasteful way, the food was in abundance and bar staff were accommodating. After the wake, a group of us moved into The Food Room for dinner. Equally as impressed with the changes to the restaurant, meals were fresh, hot and delicious. Nice sized menu without too many options. We enjoyed Espresso martinis after dinner which were smooth and delicious. After dinner we went to the sports bar, live music and a big crowd. Didnt stay too long but if youre in the mood for drinks and music, Id definitely spend some time here. Definitely will be back and recommend all locals give it a go!
Myself and my wife just spent a very pleasent evening at The Brook. The service was excellent, and the food was tasty and delivered to our table promptly after we ordered. However the highlight of our evening was our host, Claire. Talk about making one feel at home. This was our first time here, but most definitely, will not be our last.
Came here with friends for drinks, didnt get to eat anything but I would definitely come here again for either lunch or dinner because I liked the coffee and the environment. Very nice seating and friendly staff
Really great place , food was ample serves and tasty , attentive service friendly staff ,nice decor , only lost .5 star due to needs a bit more variety on menu !
We’re sad to post this review. We met the guy from Geelong who told us about their plans and it was so good. The staff are so nice but we had 6 peoole for dinner and we got tough cheap steak and over cooked chicken. Instead of pinot noir the English lady who come over didnt get it but was so nice. The place seems like young Maccas staff who are friendly pinit grigio is a white wine!! Anyway we’ll stick to Gypsy Road unless we want average food and service without any Manager or Supervisor to talk to.
Amazing that all I have to say but need more staff took to long for the food to arrive but it least it was worth the wait!coming back! Be ready!
I have tried so hard to like the food in the Brook as it is local and would be so nice and convenient but alas it is not to be after numerous attempts. The last chance was on Friday 17 March and I had the beef and Guinness pie from the Irish menu for Patrick’s Day. It was like a pie bought in a supermarket and heated up with a pretty dry side salad. Chips were just okay. The only reason it’s even getting a 2 is that the staff were friendly and the dessert (chocolate fondant) was fab.. unfortunately the food in general is not good enough for us to return again
