If it were possible to give 1/2 stars, I’d rate this 3.5. Tried the flake, flathead tails and king george whiting – all were very good, the batter light and crispy. Enjoyed the pineapple fritters – sweet/tart fruit encased in the same crispy batter, a bit of a retro treat. There were a few negatives. Grilled, as opposed to deep fried, is not an option. Minimum chips lived up to its name, a very sparse serve. Potato cakes were dense, flavourless, obviously bulk purchased. Disappointing that this is a ‘fish and chip’ business that obviously takes pride in its fish, but doesn’t seem to bother with the chips.

Went here for small chips over $5 mind you and the lady was so sick coughing all over my chips and think she had a cold wiping her nose with her hand – disgusting never going back again

We heard so much about this fish and chips shop, we had to check for ourselves, very very disappointed. I opened the door and got hit with the most disgusting smell. It wasnt off fish smell but more off butchers smell??? Yea you tell me? Maybe came from the closed up restaurant next door. Any ways my husband refused to eat and walked out. I felt embarrassed so ordered samples. Also disgusting tiny portions and rubbery . Put in box with just a bag, because of the wind, by the time i got to the car all oil soaked through to my clothing. Tasted very ordinary and definately not fresh, you can taste frozen if you know what your eating and expensive for the amount. The girl at counter was very short and can take a lesson on social graces. Also choices very basic, no packs. Would i go back? Dont think so !

Inter stater. Melt in the mouth fresh. Chips not so great but I was there for the fresh seafood. Fish and scallops would certainly entice me back.
