In search of something light-ish and healthy-ish, I settled on Foxes Den as the salads caught my eye. Of course, I had to get the house chicken too, as no meal would be complete without protein now would it?
The house chicken was surprisingly delicious. It was tender, reasonably moist, and well-seasoned. Some parts were slightly saltier than others though. Good value at $11.90 for half a chicken.
The grilled greens salad was decent and I did wish for a bigger serve for the price paid.
The chicken meatballs was also another surprise hit. I wasn’t expecting much flavour from chicken meatballs but they tasted wonderful. The tomato sauce was rich and hearty, and would have been perfect to be mopped up with some bread. Serving size was a disappointment though, at $14.50 for a small takeaway container.
