Ive been having a piccolo latte in the early afternoon and its amazing the difference in price and quality you can get.
Amicis used to be my favourite cafe on Chapel St for some time so it was interesting to go back today to see that it hasnt changed inside.
I ordered a piccolo latte and it was really good, My piccolo had a good creama and a nice flavour. Yummo, and it wasn’t too hot, perfect.
But at $4 for a piccolo it wasn’t cheap.
What a mess of a place. Like watching a circus. The staff and management here need to take a serious look at themselves. The food and coffee is actually good, but the service is an exercise is a showcase of disarray.
A friend and I stopped by here for lunch on a weekend, and we both ordered a dish from the breakfast menu. She got the citrus infused cured salmon and I had the corn & zucchini fritters. The food didnt take long to come out, and was a good portion size however I found fritters a bit too oily for my liking.
Dropped in today for an emergency hit of caffeine and definitely found gold – double shot latte was solid – other half had a slab of blueberry coconut cake and loved it. Great service friendly and reasonably quick for a busy Sunday. Only had coffee but rate it.
