It’s been a while! More than 10 years since I was last here – good to see it’s survived considering all the changes on Chapel St. Sadly, whilst reasonably priced, the food – with a notable exception – was on the bland side.
First off – tasting plate for 4 which was reasonable. But the beef with honey & black pepper and chicken with chilli & lemongrass uninspiring – it was difficult to differentiate between the two! Boneless duck with hot & sour sauce was a winner, and Chinese Broccoli with garlic exactly what you ask for. $200 for 4 people including a bottle of red not expensive at all – although we could have done without being told the explanation for the delay in the serving of mains was due to a run by Uber Eats for takeaway. Namely people sitting at home get priority over those of us sitting in the restaurant.
