Ordered the gluten puffs on rice and veggie bao to share. Gluten was very saucy but severely lacking in salt. While I liked the texture of the puffs, the whole dish didn’t taste much like anything, unfortunately. Meanwhile, our table’s dumplings took nearly an hour to come out after the rest of the food. Granted, the restaurant did seem a bit understaffed, but not to the point of warranting a delay that long without explanation. With prices this low, you can’t complain much, but the time lapse was too ridiculously long to ignore. If I give this place another chance, I’ll definitely BYO to ease the wait.

well located at chapel street very reasonably priced Chinese restaurant and bar. Ambiance is decent, staff id attentive and the food is quite authentic.
Dumplings are surely a must, but they are slightly hard in nature, you may find more flour and not that steam, however the chicken and mushroom deep-fried in chillies is a must, very consistent in nature.
definitely a jar of Asahi is a final nail in the coffin.
Average of 70$ with drinks for 2. and quite recommended in the busy streets of Chapel

Excellent food. Spacious area. Perfect for large groups. Average service : Asked for the bill but didnt end up getting it until one of us approached the staff again. Missing cutlery.

I heard mixed reviews about Shanghai Dragon Dumpling House. I ordered the Juicy chicken Xiao Long Bao and they were quite average but I havent tried anything else on the menu.

Went out with friends to this quite tucked away on Chapel Street. The decor is quite oriental from Australian standards.

We walked in late and were offered a 10 minutes time before kitchen closes to order, which was acceptable, however the place was almost 70% full with tables still having their meal.

We ordered prompty, food was served well in the following order,

    1. Hot and sour noodle soup – Portion size ok, if you are hungry, taste was a bit tad below what I would have liked as it the base is pre-made, would have preferred a made to order and sure would have tasted better.

    2. Prawn and Chicken Wonton in chilli oil soup, was hot, so only only if you can handle chilli heat.

3.Veg. Dumplings were filled with cabbage and spinach, was ok for the price and appetite for us.

4 Kung Pao Chicken and rice- good taste and portion size, must give it a go, always an all time favourite.

    Enjoy!
