Pretty new space. Ideal for cocktails and light bites. Although there are similar concepts on Chapel, it’s nice this one is off the beaten path. A highlight is the eggplant tempura as well as the interesting assortment of flavoured oyster shooters.

I saw online that The Greville had opened last week with some seriously breathtaking interiors so when friends who live in the area wanted to catch up I knew where to suggest. The menu claim of established in 1924 or some such confused me however, not sure what was in the space previously but perhaps a legacy namesake at some point.

What I didnt enjoy here was the pretentious vibes I felt from staff and punters alike. I also didnt remotely enjoy my cocktail. I went for the rum punch assuming this would be quite fruity with the inclusion of blueberry and strawberry however I acquainted myself with monin orgeat for the first time and I was not a fan. It has an extremely potent and polarising almond taste which has no place in a cocktail or anything fit for consumption.

The drink remained un-drunk and I marvelled at the interiors instead. The pink walls, gold accents and emerald velvet panelling were all stunning. The heavenly detailing right down to the softly marvelled tabletops and two toned pink and gold cutlery were modern and luxe. Sadly for me thats all it had going for it. Another superficial Prahran venue

What a unique and outstanding restaurant. The most comfortable seating I think Ive been to in my life. The tables the chairs the couches the glasses and the cutlery. It is all A class. Good service, good drinks, good quality steak, very impressed with the way this place has turned out. Definitely be back on a regular basis even though its out of my way. Recommended!
