Love this place, first time trying it and was pleasantly surprised! Always drive past this place as I live 5 mins away and it was always busy but never got around to trying it! Staff were friendly and ambience was cozy and intimate enough for couples. The food was GREAT! Not too long of a waiting time and everything tasted fresh and flavoursome. Hidden gem in Preston that you should defs try if youre thinking to. Only thing I can critique is that most Italian restaurants offer fresh cheese upon serving pasta dishes whilst this one does not, you need to ask for your cheese!

Lovely little unassuming place that does yummy wood fire pizzas! The front of the restaurant is cosy, and my friends and I like looking at the old Italian pictures on the walls. Only on my second visit did I realise that there is an outdoor area out the back, which is undercover and warmed with heaters for a cold night. The waitresses are friendly and welcoming. I have enjoyed a couple of pizzas here and they are cooked beautifully with bubbly crispy crusts, only thing is that I would love if the Margherita buffalo came with a few more basil leaves! If you stay for dessert – the bombolone with Nutella and ice cream is delicious!

A great local pizza place that really hits the mark with flavours, favourite item here is the Mariner as pictured with just the right amount of green chilli for that kick ! Marked down half a point for 3 mussels on the pizza… 4 would be nice. Reading some other reviews about the staff here is rather suprising as I’ve never had an issue, and it seems that the issue here is the customers attitude. Keep up the good work!

The Medium/rare steak was absolutely perfect and the staff were pleasant and courteous although a little distant in connecting with the customer. The cappuccino was watery at best.

The cooks and chefs at this restaurant are SEVERELY let down by the atrocious wait staff. We arrived at about 8:45 for a late dinner – plenty of time as the restaurant is open until 10pm and it was busy inside. The young man (let’s go with guy) who took our order clearly wasn’t interested in what we were saying and as a result our entree didn’t arrive as an entree – no biggie. That was until at about 9:30 – the young (I’d like to use the word lady) let’s go with girl… came to take my husbands plate away twice when we were quite clearly still eating. The guy then came over and tried to take it again from literally under my husbands nose when he had food in his mouth and said ‘oh come on man you must be finished now’… Seriously… who does that?!?!

At this stage there were still three other parties dining one of which had just ordered, yet we were made to feel like they were closing. The music was turned off and staff were literally packing up around us.

To top the night off the ‘girl took our money with enough attitude to sink a ship- I must admit it’s pretty impressive she managed to conduct the transaction using literally four words – ‘yes’ ‘that’s $50’ ‘receipt?’.

The food is good but not good enough to put up with such rubbish service from such entitled, lazy and down right rude wait staff.

    Our favourite local pizza place.

The Funghi Selvatici pizza comes layered with the most beautiful, robust wild mushrooms and is perfectly paired with goat’s cheese. The Il Gamberi is another favourite with mozzarella, tiger prawns, sun dried tomato and fresh basil, with fresh lemon zest taking it to the next level. The pizza base itself is the perfect balance of crispy, soft and chewy.
