3 is too low so it has to be a 4 in the alarming absence of a 3.5 option. This is a nice semi hipster cafe. It sits happily on High St and attracts a good steady trade from what I saw. Significantly brisker than other nearby places. The decor and fittings are fine. I like it and Ill be back.
When you want to have a nice meal to start the day, all they gave you was two pieces of cold uncut bread, three and a half pieces of spanish and a can of tuna. No toast, no proper wrapping. No good.
My favourite cafe as far as coffee is concerned. It is a cafe that it updated, and very inner city. Lifting the cafe standards of Preston.
Their menu is small but has quality items to be enjoyed. Love the fit out and the staff are wonderful, friendly and make you very welcome. Like a welcome into their home!
Give Brown Bear a try I don’t believe you can visit this cafe only once.
Ive walked past this cafe a lot and I finally went and had coffee here and it was really good. I have been several times since (only for coffee and a hot chocolate). The staff always polite and helpful.
Favourite coffee place! Combo of a large latte and caramel brownie is heaven! Highly recommend this place.. friendly staff and awesome service 🙂
Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff with great coffee well suited to a cappuccino (5 senses, dark horse blend).
The ambiance is quaint and about what you’d expect from a trendy Melbournian Caf.
Bonus points to their burger which was incredibly well made with extremely fresh ingredients cooked perfectly.
PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THIS PLACE! It deserves a much higher rating. Extremely aromatic and tasteful coffees (my favourite place to get mocha, cap and iced coffee). Super humble staff plus they help out the brown bears. I absolute adore this place.
