Indian food would have to be my favourite cuisine. So I was pretty excited when I walked down to my local shops and stumbled upon this place that appeared out of nowhere. I tried the lamb madras with a kashmiri naan. The curry tasted great and the lamb was tender but unfortunately it was swamped with onions! I mean half the container consisted of onions! Such an obvious filler. One of oldest tricks in the dodgy restaurant trade. It’s a shame really because they lost perhaps their best customer. The naan was also disappointing. The nuts tasted raw and fell out after the first bite. It lacked spice and fruit.
You know what. I’m prepared to go back and give them a second shot and try something else on the menu because I believe that they are capable of producing good quality food and they are so close to home. So come one guys. Hold the onions!
