Hung sanh only just makes a 3-Star for me. Seeing the bbq meats in the window and their advertised special bbq meat (black pepper pork ribs) drew me in. The service was pretty friendly too. I tried their bbq pork and roast duck on rice the first time and found these to be l average. Lukewarm in temperature and the bbq pork was a bit chewy. Not the texture one finds when eating bbq meat of decent quality. However, it was quite juicy. The duck didnt have much meat on it, but was still fairly tender and juicy. It was better than the pork. I ordered The black pepper pork ribs to take home the next time. They tasted okay, but I was expecting a lot more depth of flavour and the pepper itself was non-existent. Additionally, the pieces I got were mostly fat, probably 50% at least. Kudos for trying to do something special, but at least make it worth the money. On second thought, I would probably give Hung Sanh a 2.5-Star, if that was an option.
