Fairly poor experience here. Menu is limited and non alcoholic options are not listed even though we discovered half way through our meal there were several. Just a way to pay extra and the prices are already hefty.
Portion sizes are very, very small as well. My entree of quail salad was very bitter, salty, overly seasoned with pepper and slightly burnt. With watercress and radish, the overall effect was unpleasant to say the least. Hubby had the beef and lentil soup which was unoffensive but not special.
My main was meant to be a lamb tagine. What came out was a tiny hot pot with overcooked lamb and two vegetables and a tiny cup of rice on the side. The rice was actually very good but everything else was not. Hubby had the salmon which again was fine but nothing special.
Service was patchy and the decor cute vintage but I felt they were trying too hard to be a high class French restaurant without the food to back it up.
Lovely staff, quick service. Menu is full of classics, all we tried were well done, but not terribly adventurous. Good wine list, all in all good value for a nice night out, deserves to be more popular than it is.

Seaside town. The chef, Michael, was famous in the days when Harry’s was open so it’s probably not surprising. I’m going to return and if I actually lived closer it would be my local!!!
