So much fun! We love coming to Salt for a naughty cocktail and some delicious whipped-up snacks. Super casual and friendly place with kooky decorations and personable staff. The calamari roll is a winner.

Hidden gem. Dropped in for late evening drinks. Very welcoming staff and inviting space with a great cocktail list. Whether you prefer yours with an olive or a lemon twist, these people know their drinks and mix a mean cocktail. Especially loved the Negroni which was perfectly balanced and benefited from the generous garnish of fresh orange rind. A very cool and hidden gem away from the bustle of Hesse Street down below.

Great cocktails, sensational sea views. These guys know how to mix a great cocktail! Even better, you can sit out on their first-floor balcony in the afternoon/evening sun and look out over Swan Bay relaxing – just heaven. It’s also a gallery so you can take your time and browse the art – what a great combination.

My husband and I stopped in for pre-dinner drinks, but liked it so much we stayed. I was immediately impressed with the music and decor. As you walk through the gallery and up the stairs, this cocktail bar has a funky speakeasy feel. It would not be out of place on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. The menu is small but well thought out. I had the Pork sausage cassoulet and my husband had the Pancetta pizza. Both were delicious. The local selection of wines was great to see – I wish there was more of that in Queenscliff. The Shiraz was amazing. It was bitterly cold outside, but toasty warm by the open fire inside. I’m looking forward to returning in the summer and taking advantage of the balcony. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They struck the balance between being attentive without being intrusive. I will absolutely be back.
