Queenscliff is sleepy af during the winter months. But just off the main drag you will find the main hub of activity for both locals and travelers, The Queenscliff Brewhouse.
The centrepiece is a warming fire that defrosts you as you walk in. The bar area is well appointed with an excellent range of seating options. There is also a dining area for larger groups. Oh, and a beer garden too.
The range of beer is simply outstanding. Loads of Prickly Moses options on tap, but the range is not limited to that particular brewer.
The Dear Luncher enjoyed the Mexican PARMA. It’s not a Parmi, Surf-siders. Stop calling it a Parmi. You sound ridiculous. Jks, call it what you want but know that we’re talking about you when we return back to Melbourne. This was a well constructed Parma, loads of cheese, corn chips added some nice crunch and the guacamole/sour cream on top was delicious.
Mrs Luncher smashed down the salt and pepper calamari dish, the Little Luncher’s were also fans of said calamari. The kids burger, which was conveniently left unfinished by one of the tin lids, was polished off by Your Dear Luncher and the pattie tasted wonderful. Clearly made with care not just some mass produced slop.
Couldn’t ask for a better haven in this sleepy Bellarine Peninsula pocket. Good vibes, good warmth, excellent service and the beer/food rocks. It’s a 4.5 from The Dear Luncher.
