We booked for the Dining room, but no-one bothered to tell us it was closed for a wedding. Very ordinary unimaginative food and wine in the Bar, sloping table, draughty. Slow service. Don’t bother, a mediocre place trading on its past reputation.

We had some nibbles at the Vue Street bar with a drink and they were just OK. The polenta chips were too chunky for me, and the delicious Maggie Beer relish just wasn’t the right consistency for dunking chips into. I ended up having to spread the relish onto the ends of the chips with my fingers to make it stick.

We dined in the street bar rather than the dining room and it was disappointing. Mostly fried food and nothing like the dining room offerings. The calamari was particularly bad – chewy and tasteless. Definitely take the time to book the dining room – don’t waste your time with the street bar.

Great food & boutique beer, extensive wine list.
We ate in the front area not the restaurant. The pizzas and other snacks we got were amazing, can’t go past the lamb and feta pizza.
    Great service

Food was very disappointing given the grandeur of our surroundings. We ordered snack foods at the Vue Grand Bar and I’m still paying for it now.
Our chicken wings had the added bonus of a few feathers, the calamari was fried in old oil (far too dark) and the potatoes were spicy but over-cooked.
Service was fine, beer list impressive and wine was lovely but the food …. given the prices and the possibilities it was ordinary to say the least.

We had a group of 9 people that booked and ordered a mixture of pizzas and other main meals such as flake and chips. For the price of the quality of the food it was quite expensive. For 5 calamari rings for 12 dollars with no salad with it was not worth it. Plus 2 small fish tacos with very little fillings for 15 dollars wasn’t what I expected. Pizzas were great but for the size it wasn’t worth the price. Overall it was a pleasant experience but not the price to pay for the quality of the food.

Beautifully presented and delicious food! The trout main was a stand out! Excellent service. Fabulous selection of whiskey’s. Elegant old dining room. Highly recommend Vue Grand!
