Ive only ever received delivery from these guys and while it does take a bit of a wait (around an hour/75ish minutes) the food is always worth it!
Their curries are the perfect amount of hot and spicy, any of the kormas are jam packed with flavour and their butter chicken is a stand out. The samosas are easily some of my favourite in Melbourne.
Youll always have plenty left over, with so much food in each dish its good value for money. What else can you ask for?!

    Authentic and flavourful Indian cuisine!
Very budget friendly with a nice family business atmosphere. Staff are very attentive and eager to please.

Fantastic authentic Indian food, great local place with decent service and friendly staff. BYO license and a bottle shop across the road, what more could you ask for? Also they had a great soundtrack!

I get disappointed by the negative reviews this place gets – its my favourite local take-out!

I find the food delicious (even though Im lame and mostly only order mild!). I love the Malai Kofta, and have just recently gotten hooked on the Navratan Korma. Also a fan of the Zeera rice which I have not come across anywhere before.

No fancy pretentions here. Just tasty food from a local family-run business.

Daawat is a gem of an Indian restaurant serving delicious North Indian and Indo-Chinese fare. Lately whenever I crave for some Indo-Chinese I look tonDaawat for that hot and spicy Chicken 65 and everyones favourite Chili Chicken (dry) – so reminiscent of the taste back home!

Ordering food from this place was an absolute nightmare. We ordered aloo gobi, lamb biryani and onion bhaji. 15 minutes after we placed our order, the restaurant called us to let us know that they were out of cauliflower! We opted for the malai kofta instead and so regretted it! The curry had no flavour whatsoever. Salt was the predominant taste. The koftas were chalky to point that they were sticking to the top of your mouth. The only other taste was some rancid cashews and very questionable sultanas.
The onion bhajis were also very lacklustre, again way too salty and some of them had some onions skins in them, absolutely outrageous! The only taste in the lamb biryani was chillies, it was so hot that it made your taste buds numb and you couldn’t taste anything else, maybe a trick to make you forget how awful the rest of the food was.The lamb itself was very tough and not pleasant at all.
Overall, a very disappointing meal and quite a waste of food since we had to throw most of it away.
My advice – stay well clear of this place!

Great Indian food and welcoming atmosphere for a good price. Very friendly service, patient with kids – will definitely be eating there again.
