I’ve been to Fina’s in Fitzroy. Finally got a chance to try the OG outlet. This spot is gonna be a new local for sure. They’ve got a selection of pretty affordable noodle soups- this time I tried the crab soup with tofu, vermicelli and some other add-ins. I liked the broth flavour and texture of the spongy tofu, but wish there was a bit more to the soup. Next time I should try mock meat or something with more substance. Either way, it’s a great and light option that would be good for summer.
Bonus points that food got to the table super quickly.
On this visit, I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee made with vegan condensed milk (!) So excited to be a able to get a dairy free version so close to home. At nearly $8 it’s a bit expensive, but worth the splurge once in a while.

We had VN stewed beef (fake beef made from soya), VN pancake and springrolls. The stewed beef and pancake were beautiful with generous vegi for wrapping. The fried springrolls were just so average, nothing special at all though. Service was fast and friendly. The owner seemed to be very proud of his food.

Ordered a vegan Pho and the soup was quite tasty. There was a lot of noodles and veggies. A quick and cheap meal for around $13. Weekday lunch specials – $10 for selected noodles.
Service was quite fast, took 10 mins to serve.
Staff was very friendly.
This place caters well for true herbivores. It was recommended to us by a carnivore and a foodie, so we knew the faux meat options would be good. We chose from an extensive menu offering popular Vietnamese dishes, which arrived at the blink of an eye.
Tasty Fish Cakes and Salt and Pepper Crispy Tofu preceded the delicious Pancake, which came with a generous serving of mint, my favourite herb. My friends enjoyed their Spicy Noodle Soup and Vermicelli Noodle Salad, which were also generous in size and ingredients. We also loved the Custard Apple Smoothie, thick and creamy, reminiscent of our time in Vietnam. Fresh and wholesome ingredients throughout yielded authentic flavours and colourful presentation. The faux meat was pretty good indeed.
Friendly staff and speedy service meant we could have a quick and satisfying meal before heading off to a gig. Lots of Asian memorabilia decorate the functional space. A good spot to bring friends with dietary requirements and still enjoy a casual meal.
