Meatballs, glorious.. Taste the same in every country.. Food at ikea is easily one of the best cheap eats out there..
Consistent quality packaged with great ikea furnishings makes this an ideal place to dine..
Great for families with kids as there are meal prep areas for parents to heat up their food for the little ones.. Unlimited sauce and drinks..
Considering Ikea is known for their good value for money, the restaurant is on the cheaper side if you’re looking for a no-fuss meal but not exactly THAT cheap. Some of their breakfast options are pretty cheap, but items like their meatballs, salmon or cakes are only marginally cheaper than a standard meal you can get outside, or even at the food court in Victoria Gardens itself.
Nevertheless, Ikea shopping is part being cheap, and part having fun with the whole experience, and if you’re spending a few hours looking at furniture and getting design ideas, it is pretty convenient to grab something to eat here while taking a break. The dining space is quite large, and resembles a school canteen, so the kids may have fun choosing what to eat as well. Food quality is nothing impressive; some people rave about the meatballs but I wasn’t really wowed by them. I doubt I would actually travel here to eat on purpose, though I do visit Ikea from time to time.
I can’t express how happy I am everytime my boyfriend and I come here for a good shop at IKEA, which can be pretty tiring, so the IKEA cafeteria is perfect for us. Their food service is always fast and the meatballs are great. This time i decided to get the fish and chips, we also tried the meatballs and chicken meatballs, the Daim cake, apple cake, coffee from the machine and the Lingonberry soda, which was sooooo yummy! Love this place!
