We decided to try the Feed Me option, which was basically meant we took food gamble as the menu would be a surprise.
We got to try the chicken ribs, kingfish ceviche, crispy eggplant, duck salad, barramundi, Brussel sprouts and the Taromisu. The stand outs for me was the kingfish ceviche and barramundi main. I really liked the crispy eggplant too (it was very crispy and flavoursome)! The kingfish was very fresh and had a wonderful balance of flavours. The barramundi was definitely cooked to perfection and paired well with the sambal, which tasted quite authentic. However, the other dishes were a bit lacklustre for me, especially the brussel sprouts which I am not a fan of. The Taromisu is an interesting concept and I enjoyed the coconut jelly. Unfortunately I found the sponge a little too sweet and dry.
I would definitely return to try their other dishes. I am especially curious to try the cheeseburger spring roll!
Came here for dinner. Pros: relaxed atmosphere, nice decor. Cons: we had the feed me option, firstly they wouldnt tell us what it included (ie. it didnt include anything we would ordinarily order), very small portion sizes- they even skimped on the rice.
3.5. The Feed Me option for $50 was great value and the food was very good overall. We started with the edamame guac which was nice although a little bland, and the chicken ribs which were very tasty, and could’ve been excellent if the skin was crispy. Next was the beef tartare (very nice), duck salad (good), and crispy eggplant (delicious, one of the best dishes of the night!). For mains, the barramundi was great with sambal, whilst the pork hock was generous but could’ve had even more sauce to scoop onto the plentiful meat and the skin could’ve been crispier. Brussels sprouts were really good, and the choc mousse dessert was not bad. The restaurant space is lovely, and feels quite intimate as the tables are spread out and close to the full-length windows. Will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu.
This place has it all and is destined for a chain of great reviews. The sleek venue, humble service and amazing menu!
The starters were your classics done perfectly. The won tons fillings offered a depth of flavour like no other, while the baos were balanced harmoniously with a light bun, soft and well marinated pork belly and right amount of acidity in the remainder of the filling.
The mains were just sensational. The beef rib was soft and fell off the bone. The barramundi was delicately cooked. The roast chicken was soft, moist and melted in your mouth.
I am just impressed!
Jamu at Richmond. Overall for food full mark but need a bit more with service. Total score 4.8! Love the food love the fusion. Asian style with Western cuisine served great cuisine. Good presentation quality food and delicious taste. Best duck salad and barramundi had in Melbourne. Perfectly cooked and nicely decorated. Taromisu is also a must order desserts. It is definitely on my top list to dine in Melbourne.

LIT!: we ordered the pork hock, shiitake noodles, soft shell crab, beef ribs, chicken ribs and fried eggplant. My favourite dishes was the shiitake noodles and beef ribs! They were full of flavour and the ribs were tender . Service and fit out needs a shout out.
NOT SO LIT: eggplant was undercooked but was still flavoursome! Pork hock has a lottt of fat but what did I expect?
Thank you to the crew for serving our birthday cake! X
Super helpful and friendly staff. Nice modern fit out. The food was a great modern take on some Asian classics and them some completely different. The tartare was amazing as to the XO mushroom dish. Cheeseburger spring rolls were fun! Definitely be back as as good as it was I need to try more. Bring on the Sarawak laksa…..
