Monroe in Richmond. Newly opened restaurant on Bridge road. We came in late Saturday afternoon. A bit quiet but nice to have the bigger table. We ordered the signature banana roti and crossaint egg Benny. One of the best banana roti we ever had. Definitely a thumbs up for this dish.

i went to Monroe for the first time yesterday for a brunch with my couple of friends to celebrate a mate’s birthday.
We loved the atmosphere, the interior was lovely and welcoming and of course we had to sit on the marble table.
We were prompted with lovely service, serving us with some water and menus while we sat and took our time picking which food to order.
The food was delicious, I had the chicken burger and the smoothie.. it was delicious!
I had the green smoothie, it has a nice green kick and a hint of sweetness, not at all bland!
I tried my mate’s peanut butter smoothie, it was so delicious and sweet and yet I am not the type of person that would order a peanut butter smoothie.
My burger was served with a right amount of chips and the burger had a nice amount of sauce, not too less or too much and not at all drying.
Although, service after getting our food was a bit slow, it took more than 20 minutes to get a round of green tea. No one checked if the food was good or wanted a round of drinks.

From Instagram this place looks so inviting but once you step in isnt that wow.
Food was ok not special and not bad. My soy latte was good. But staff was lacking of attention which can be improve even though its not busy but theyre seems to busy checking on the mobile phone. Hard to get attention. My friend wants to order more coffee but we have to pass.
My rating is 3.5 tho because the price of the food is decent.
    Service can be improve.
