Yes very good cafe. All the meal options are great. Avo on toast comes with lots of avocado yum. Pork belly good too. Great coffees, good service, relaxing feel. Ideal spot for a small group lunch
Decent cheese toastie from a place that specialises in, you guessed it, cheese! Had already eaten so ordered something small so I could at least sample it. At $12.50 it was two smallish pieces of toast smothered (very generously), in a mixture of delicious cheeses. Would come back to try more from the menu!
Got the ricotta hotcake stack and pan seared chicken breast from Uber eats. The ricotta hotcakes had huge clusters of ricotta in the middle which drops out when forked. The hotcakes had no taste by itself and therefore a lot of toppings were supplied (the berry compote, maple syrup and lemon curd) however I didn’t like any of them as it didn’t made the hotcakes taste better.
Pan seared chicken breast was great but found a piece of hair on it.
Went here with Vinh on a Sunday morning for breakky. I have actually been here in the past and enjoyed it however this time was average. Vinh had the baked eggs which were yummy… I had the smashed avo which I didnt really enjoy. The avo kind of tasted watered down it was basically flavourless it really turned my off the dish… but it could be a one off bad batch of avos so Im willing to try it again. I do think its a bit pricey though as its $18.50 and then you need to add a couple bucks for a poached egg. Anyways would possibly try again but definitely not one of my Richmond favs !
Until next time
