Royal Saxon at Richmond. Tuesday night is pizza night. Yeah $10 pizza is definitely a good price for the night. Treat myself with a prawn pizza and scallops. I like the design of the restaurant and dark lighting a perfect place for a late night drink. They also have a outdoor balcony area with nice outdoor setting. A good place to catch up with friends.

Headed to the Royal Saxon on a Saturday night for a birthday celebration. We started the night in the restaurant before heading upstairs to the dance floor where the fun continued.
What we ordered: Potato Pizza, Margherita Pizza, Pumpkin Pizza, Spicy Salami Pizza & Calamari. The food was fantastic, it was definitely above our expectations. The base of every Pizza was thin and crusty combined with a generous amount of toppings. Given the atmosphere and friendly service, I think being a regular at the Royal Saxon wouldnt hurt!

Excellent service from experienced and competent staff. The fairly brief menu and limited description does no justice to the beautifully presented dishes and fantastic quality of ingredients.
We shared a number of starters – Portarlington Mussels, Oysters, Duck & Apricot Rillette, Semolina Dusted Calimari and Zucchini Flowers – all magnificent.
Stand out mains included the Herb & Parmesan crumbed Pork Coletta with fennel, green almonds & orange salad and the Ora King Salmon with BBQ Cucumber, Asparagus, Jerusalem Artichoke & Broad Beans.
Mains are quite generous in size and most definitely generous in flavours!
A thoughtful but short wine list has good offerings and there are quite a number of good beers available.
