Wow, what a great cafe! Came here for their fantastic ‘Malteser Hot-Choccy’ that I saw on facebook and I was blown away. I came with my hubby and three kids and all of the staff where very polite to my children, one of my younger kids was obviously restless and without worry, the blonde barista brought over some toys and puzzles to keep her entertained while waiting for her baby chino and the rest of our drinks! 100% will come back again. 100% will be sharing this family loving cafe to the rest of my friends!
Was taken here for a Mother’s Day breakfast & it was wonderful. Very cute Cafe, with nicely set out tables & lovely ambience. Staff were extremely attentive, yet not in your face. The coffees & my Chai latte were all delicious & hot! The food was served well within time & all were hot & yum. We were also given a rose for each Mum. All in all, great staff & food too.
I have been to this caf perhaps three or four times, and so far it has failed to impress. Recently another caf has opened down the road, which I think would be preferable. My main criticism is that the caf seems to be run by inexperienced staff who have not been given much training in customer service. On my last visit I walked off, as they basically ignored me waiting at the counter. It was busy, but not so busy that a nod and be right with you couldnt have been attempted. I just wanted to get a table, and a menu for a quick bite. The menu promises more than it delivers. I have had sandwiches, fruit toast, cakes etc, and they have all been a bit on the ordinary side, and not even presented well. The coffee, however, is not bad. The best feature is the dcor it is smart, a bit retro, with colonial style chairs, station clocks on the wall, antique style mirror, etc. But unless I have a burning desire to marvel at their interior, I probably wont be back.
A delightful place to while away the time. Very friendly service, great food and smooth coffee. Their hot chocolates (including ‘adult only’) and shakes are an experience all to themselves. Clearly a hit with the locals too – always a good sign in my book. Cafe Emjay is on my ‘regular’ list now!
Excellent eggs atlantic and coffee and friendly efficient staff.Apart from the Tony Abbott visit it is well run and nicely situated.
Loved it. I came in for Mother’s Day with my wife and kids. Great service, food and coffe. The rose was nice touch also. The girls on the floor were fantastic with the kids and everyone else, very attentive lovely girls . We will be back what a great experience.
One of my favourite cafe’s to go during the week, and now is no longer. Normally I am greeted by my favourite girl mick with a big smile and yesterday I was not! I was hardly acknowledged. I asked one of the staff where mick was to be told that she had left, staff member didn’t seem to care and was rude about it. The cafe was not busy and the girls had no problem having a chat between them selfs. Service was slow, but can’t fault the food or coffee. Mick if you read this love myself (paul) and stuart will miss you dearly along with every other customers that you have touched in some way.
