Craving for Fish and chips and went to grey shark yesterday at around 6.30pm..
Shop was closed without any notice, though the opening hour on the door and on the web states that they open on Monday from 5-8pm..
Great chips and fish. No ‘extras’ when ordering potato cakes like some places. Good prices. Can take a while sometimes. Would definitely recommend this to anyone local. Worth the wait.
The chips taste great and the flake was nice. My fave would have to be the steak burger with the lot, nice cut of tender meat, better than the tough meat in most steak burgers 🙂
Great chips, nice potato cakes, fantastic fish. The batter is good, but I prefer grilled over fried, the chips are always cooked perfectly. And the servings are generous. What’s not to like?
I used to go to this place when the old Greek owners had it and it was always fresh and delicious. I recently went here and the chips were soggy and barely warm. The blue grenadier was tasteless and and service was alouf. They need to go back to the old owners and learn from them on what customer service is.
Really enjoyable first experience at Grey Shark. The staff were friendly and the service was quick even though they were busy with a lot of orders. The fried fish and chips were crispy and tasty. We will be back!
Look – it’s the neighbourhood fish and chippery – you’ve got to go have a takeaway every once in awhile.
